We are a community swimming club that has been established for over 40 years. Our aim is to promote and manage the teaching, knowledge, and practice of swimming skills. We are based at Glasgow Club Whitehill, 240 Onslow Drive, Dennistoun, G31 2QF.
Please note that due to Glasgow Club Whitehill currently operating on restricted hours, temporary arrangements are in place. We hold sessions on Tuesday nights at Whitehill from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Thursday nights at Glasgow Club Springburn from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
The Club is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation with fully trained and qualified coaches. We offer various sections for swimmers of different ages and abilities.
Our Learner Section is for beginners and improvers from age 5 years. This section is very popular, and places are in demand. Following an assessment, individuals may be placed on a waiting list if there are no spaces currently available for their level of ability. The Club operates a national Learn to Swim programme with Levels 1-4.
Our Junior Members section is for learners who are under 16 years of age. Learner Members who have completed Level 4 are transferred to the Main Pool Management Scheme and become Junior Members. The focus for Junior Members is coaching to refine and improve their swimming skills, increase stamina, and establish personal best times.
Our Senior Members section is for experienced swimmers or swimmers wishing to learn or improve their skills and personal fitness.
Our Adult Swimmers section is currently limited to swimmers with the ability to train using most of the main swimming strokes.
